Prince Charles refuses the presence of Meghan and Harry at the jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II

The return of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in Europe is causing a lot of ink to flow. Before heading to the Netherlands to compete in the Invictus Games, the couple went to secretly visit the Queen of England. An important reunion for the couple who had not returned to the UK together for over two years. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were able to speak with Elizabeth II, but also with Prince Charles and his wife, Camilla Parker-Bowles. A meeting of a few hours which ended with a promise: the return of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for the Queen’s Jubilee with their two children, Archie and Lilibet Diana. But there, the Megxit is still struggling to pass to all members of the British royal family. Prince Charles, who has taken many derogatory remarks publicly from his youngest son, would not want him to attend the celebrations planned for the sovereign.

The Eclipsed Queen?

Indeed, Prince Charles would take a very dim view of the presence of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex during the jubilee. The reasons ? They are many. First of all, because Meghan Markle and her husband have decided to leave their functions within the Crown forever. They would then no longer have their place in these great events which praise the Queen of England. Second reason given by the Daily Mail, their very strong media coverage. Archie’s parents have been in the spotlight since their departure to the United States and Prince Charles is afraid that their presence will overshadow Elizabeth II. Finally, Lady Diana’s ex-husband would still be very angry with Prince Harry. The statements of the Sussex couple in the American media on the Crown had the effect of a bombshell among the members of the royal family. Hard words to swallow for the Queen’s eldest son, who would still be heartbroken.

At the moment, Harry and Meghan do not seem to care about this subject. The couple caused a stir on the opening night of the Invictus Games. He even exchanged a kiss on stage, something that members of the royal family are careful not to do in public.
