Private Division: four new publishing partnerships

The Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. group is the owner of a publishing label: Private Division. After the takeover of Roll7 in January, the label has just signed new contracts concerning the publishing of games from four studios: Die Gute Fabrik, Evening Star, Piccolo Studio and Yellow Brick Games.

Regarding these signatures, the present executive vice-president and director of Private Division spoke:

At Private Division, we want to showcase the greatest creative talents in the video game industry, and these four teams and the experiences they build represent a wide range of genres that will appeal to many different audiences. Die Gute Fabrik, Evening Star, Piccolo Studio and Yellow Brick Games each have their own creative vision that we are happy to help discover.

Die Gute Fabrik, founded in 2008 and known for Mutation

We are delighted to see that Private Division shares both our collaborative ethic and our vision of the experience we want to offer our audience. We are absolutely thrilled with our next narrative adventure game and the team we have to create it. We are really looking forward to being able to tell you more.

Evening Star, founded in 2018 and known for Sonic Mania Plus

Above all, we seek to take advantage of the unique experience of the members of our team in order to develop exhilarating experiences that bear our mark. Private Division has been a fantastic partner and their team is as passionate as we are about our vision for the project. As our studio evolves, we hope to be able to share more and more important parts of this new world that we are creating.

Piccolo Studio, founded in 2015 and known for Arise: A Simple Story

At Piccolo Studio, we create very personal stories that revolve around universal themes that can affect all players. We are delighted to have found a publisher who supports our unique storytelling processes and is as invested as we are in reaching a wide audience.

Yellow Brick Games, founded in 2008 and which worked on Dragon Age, Assassin’s Creed and Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six

I always feel full of energy when faced with the challenge of setting up a new studio. A team of incredible talent, ambitious ideas, and real product-focused effort, with the latitude to take risks totally excluded from AAA development. We’re looking to deliver something special for our first title, and this partnership with Private Division provides our team with the support needed to create a truly memorable game.

These four studios will now have the support of the label to carry out their projects, but these are not planned before Take-Two’s 2024 financial year: you will have to be patient to take advantage of these new titles.
