A young man staged a pro-Palestinian protest during the India-Australia World Cup final at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. During India’s batting, the young man ran to the ground following violating the security norms. The young man wearing a t-shirt with the words “Stop Bombing Palestine and Free Palestine” was also wearing a mask with the Palestinian flag.
There are also reports that he ran near the pitch and tried to hug Virat Kohli. He was taken into police custody from Ahmedabad for violating security norms. After that the match was stopped but was resumed immediately. The video of the incident has gone viral on social media.
India, currently batting in the ODI World Cup final, crossed 100 runs for the loss of three wickets in 15.4 overs once morest Australia. Virat Kohli and KL Rahul brought the team score past 100 in the 16th over. Both continue to bat.
