This Thursday, January 4, is the final of the show “Prodiges”, on France 2. Twelve participants (four in each category in dance, singing and music) will perform in front of the jury to become the prodigy of the year ! Among them, Malo, 12 years old, passionate regarding lyrical singing who performed during the semi-final, Thursday December 21, Avé Maria by Gounod**.** To try to win the final, he will perform Panis Angelicus by César Franck on Thursday. “Compared to the Ave Maria, it’s a little easier song, explains Malo, it is more in the bass there is less technique but it is very beautiful.”
“We come from the same universe, that unites us”
Like his competitors, the young singer rehearsed a lot with his singing teacher to prepare for his performance. “We worked a lot. I feel pretty good, a little excited, a little stressed too. We had to train in this world of TV”he explains some time before the final. “Obviously, I hope to win but there is a very, very good level among all the prodigies.” Son point fort ? “I am told that I create emotion in the people who listen to me.”
From his experience, there is competition of course, but Malo especially likes the good atmosphere between the participants. “For a week, we’ve been rehearsing in the studios, with the orchestra. We’ve made lots of friends, we’re all in the same universe, that’s why we get along so well, our passions unite us.”
The final is this Thursday, January 4 at 9:10 p.m. on France 2.
