Product Test: Jackery 500 Solar Generator

The generator charges at a power outlet, car charger or with the solar panel. The percentage of the power level is displayed on an LED screen.

It takes regarding 7 hours to fully charge the Jackery 500 with a wall outlet and regarding 14 hours with the solar panel on a sunny summer day.

The Jackery 500 is equipped with high-density 18650 Lithium-ion cylindrical batteries, has a capacity of 518.4 Wh and is rated for more than 500 charges. It is equipped with a pure sine wave inverter with AC output (230V/500W, 1000W peak power).

The Jackery has a handy LED flashlight function for nighttime use.

Once charged, the generator can power devices with 3 outputs:

– 1 AC output: 230V-50 Hz, 2.17A and 500W max continuous,

– 2 sorties DC : 12V, 7A,

– 1 car output: 12V, 10A,

– 3 sorties USB : 5V, 2,4A.

If the Jackery Explorer’s total power exceeds 500W, it will automatically shut down. The Explorer 500 also provides protection once morest temperature changes, short circuits, overvoltages, overcurrents, and overloads to ensure the safety of the device.
