The Promerica Group celebrated the Promerica International Volunteer Day on Saturday, October 26, with various social activities, among which its collaborators joined together to collect and bring donations to children and adolescents with disabilities at the Hogar Pajarito Azul, in Nicaragua.
In the case of El Salvador, Promerica installed a biogas generation system at the República de Italia School Center, so that students learn to recycle and create school gardens.
In Honduras, aid was collected and taken to the homes for older adults at the San Felipe Hospital, in Tegucigalpa, and San Vicente de Paúl, in San Pedro Sula, where they shared a day of entertainment with their grandparents; Likewise, Promerica Guatemala celebrated reforesting in San Cristóbal El Alto, Sacatepéquez; while Costa Rica did it at the Siembra home, an entity attached to the PANI (National Children’s Trust) that is dedicated to rescuing young girls at social risk.
Meanwhile, Produbanco Ecuador focused on reforestation in the Yanacocha reserves, in Guayaquil and Manta, as well as in Ayampe, Puerto López and in Cuenca in the Yunguilla reserve, while Grand Cayman carried out cleaning on the coasts of the Siete Millas public beach.
Taking advantage of the month of fight against breast cancer, Banco Promerica of the Dominican Republic gave talks on the importance of preventing the disease, teaching them how to perform breast self-examination, and they also carried out reforestation activities in Arenoso and Villa Altagracia; Likewise, Panama celebrated with a day of cleaning and maintenance of the Metropolitan Park.
