The Corsair EX100U external SSD in 2 TB version is currently on flash sale at €150.99. This is its lowest price to date on Amazon. Compared to the well-known Samsung T7 2TB which is at the same price, the Corsair EX100U stands out on several counts. It is even smaller and lighter (79 x 37 x 11 mm, 22 g), so much so that it is no longer so far from the dimensions of a USB key.
The Corsair SSD can also be faster than the Samsung T7 in some cases thanks to its USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 connection allowing it to reach up to 1.6 GB/s in reading and 1.5 GB/s in writing. But on Mac, due to lack of support for this USB standard, speeds are limited to around 1 GB/s.
Unlike Samsung, Corsair does not promise drop resistance up to 2 meters, but the aluminum body of the EX100U should still provide it with good solidity. Its USB port is protected by a cap. The SSD comes with a USB-C to USB-C cable and a USB-C to USB-A cable.
The product is also available in 1 TB versions (145 €) et 4 To (488 €), but these prices are not competitive.
