Yongzhou Daily News (Reporter Wan Keming) On July 21, Xie Jinglin, Secretary and Chairman of the CPPCC Party Committee, led a team to Dao County to carry out supervision activities on the CPPCC 2023 key proposal “About Multi-Party Concentration to Bring Zhou Dunyi’s Confucianism to the World”. Huang Yufang, member of the party group of the CPPCC and vice chairman, attended.
At the consultation meeting for the handling of key proposals led by the chairman of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, the proposal organizers reported the status of the proposal handling. The proposer and relevant personnel made consultation speeches on the implementation of the proposal.
Xie Jinglin pointed out that the proposal work is an overall work of the CPPCC. It is an important form for the CPPCC to perform its functions of political consultation, democratic supervision, and participation in and deliberation of state affairs. He requested that the connotation of Zhou Dunyi’s Neo-Confucianism culture be deeply explored; multiple efforts should be made to continuously expand the influence of Zhou Dunyi’s Neo-Confucianism; the core role should be played in researching Zhou Dunyi’s Neo-Confucianism with an open and inclusive attitude; Zhou Dunyi’s Neo-Confucianism should find the right entry point for “going out” of Zhou Dunyi’s Neo-Confucianism culture, laying a solid foundation and taking solid steps to promote Zhou Dunyi’s Neo-Confucianism to the world.
Before the meeting, the research team went to the former residence of Zhou Dunyi and Lianxi Academy in Dao County to investigate the construction situation.
