When an Italian team needs an away draw in order to qualify for the European Cup, they usually know how to do it. After winning 3-2 against Cremonese at the start of Serie A, the Florentines then managed to take a point at Empoli (0-0). This kind of scenario would be perfect for the “Viola” in the Netherlands. While Twente won their first two league games, the opponents (NEC Nijmegen and Fortuna Sittard) were of a much lower level than Fiorentina.
