The prosecution has communicated the proposed sanctions submitted to Marco Ilaimaharitra and Nathan Ngoy following their expulsion in the Walloon clash. Unsurprisingly, this is more severe for the Carolo than for the Rouche.
Nathan Ngoy had been excluded at the end of the match for having pulled Oday Dabbagh’s jersey from the penalty spot, which had been considered as a clear chance aligned, therefore a direct expulsion.
But the fairly light nature of the fault apparently prompted the prosecution to be lenient. The Standard defender was handed a one-match suspended ban; he will therefore be available for Carl Hoefkens on Saturday, against Cercle Brugge.
Pour Marco Ilaimaharitra, whose second yellow card had been transformed into a direct red after consulting the VAR, it is more severe. Captain Carolo takes 3 firm matches and a 3000 euro fine after this expulsion. It is not yet known whether Charleroi will appeal.
