Protagonistas de novela is a competition in which they compete to win the signing of an acting contract with the television production company RCN. Over the years, its name changed and is now known as Protagonists of our TV.
The show broke audience records in 2010 when it averaged 3 million viewers per episode. This has positioned it as the most watched reality show in the history of Colombia.

If you do not remember who the winners of the production have been, here we give you a count so that you can remember and also know what several of them are currently up to.
Winners of ‘Novel protagonists’
Ximena Cordoba and Jaider Villa
The first season of this contest was broadcast in 2002 and had 14 participants. After 21 years, many have forgotten that Córdoba and Villa were the winners of that edition.
Ximena, after finishing her participation in the show, appeared in the series Francisco, the Mathematician and ventured as a presenter in the Cuéntamelo program. Currently, she lives in Mexico and is the presenter of the Cuéntamelo Ya program.
As for Jaider, he is 46 years old, he is a model, athlete and actor. He participated in productions such as Sin senos hay no paraíso and now he shares on his YouTube channel the wonderful places he knows while traveling.
Shirly Gomez and Nicolas Reyes
The second edition of the program left Gómez and Reyes as winners. She currently works as a model, actress and presenter.

For his part, Nicolás Reyes went from being in front of the cameras to being behind them. Now, he is a renowned film director, according to his Instagram profile description. Many recognize Nicolás for being the ex-partner of actress Zharick León.
Ana Rivera and Kike Duque
In 2004, the third season of Protagonistas de novela took place, which had Ana and Kike as winners.
Rivera was part of the cast of El Man es Germán and managed to establish himself as a public figure. Kike, for his part, did not dedicate himself to television and moved away from the screens.
For the fourth version of the reality show, those chosen by the public were María Angélica Salgado and Cristian Suárez. However, according to RCN, neither of them continued their acting career.
Sara Uribe and Jhoan Álvarez
The fifth edition of the program had two of its most iconic winners. Sara is a Colombian model and television presenter. She also has great national recognition and was a partner until 2020 with soccer player Fredy Guarín.
As to John He ventured as an actor and model. It is also known that he traveled to Mexico after winning the contest to venture into television in this country.

Gaby Garrido and Juver
In this edition there was a collaboration with a Panamanian television station to make the contest, so the participants were not only Colombians.
Panamanian Gaby Garrido won and built a successful career as a presenter and actress in her country. Juver, the male winner, for his part, did not continue in the middle as an actor.
