A teenager went through a veritable descent into hell when her ex-boyfriend sent her intimate photos to everyone around her out of pure revenge…twice rather than once.

Joséphine (fictitious name) was 15 when she started a relationship with a teenager of the same age. As the latter lived outside of Canada, the lovebirds never met and thus exchanged intimate photos and videos during their relationship of a few months.
“I was naive and worried he wouldn’t love me if I stopped sending. It was he who asked for it, I never asked him for anything, ”said the one who has now reached the age of majority.
To raise awareness
If Joséphine has agreed to tell this episode, which is traumatic to say the least, it is to make other teenage girls aware of the dangers of sharing intimate content with a friend. However, given the disastrous repercussions that this story has had in her life, she prefers to remain anonymous.
After some time, the girl decided to end the relationship. The teenager never accepted it and even threatened to release all intimate images of her if she left him for good.
“I thought he would never do that, it couldn’t be,” she recalls.
But one morning, she woke up with a rather curious message on her cell phone.
“Why did you send me this?” an acquaintance texted him.
That’s when his world turned upside down. His ex had taken action and had created a fake Instagram account in the name of Josephine with which he had sent all his intimate photos and videos to those around him.
“He subscribed to all the people I followed on my real Instagram account and sent the images to all my friends, my mother, my father and their friends,” she recounts with emotion.
The return to school was brutal for the teenager, who was downright overwhelmed with shame. To the point where his mother had to go and meet with the management so that an action plan could be implemented so that the bullying and the dark thoughts stop. Surprisingly, being presumably destitute, the principal suggested that Josephine change schools. What she did, being transferred to Saint-Jérôme.
He reoffends
A few months later, when she finally dared to open a new Instagram account, her former boyfriend found her almost instantly. Once again he sent all the pictures to his new friends.
But this time, his new school joined the SEXTO program, created by the Saint-Jérôme police a few years earlier.
“It was the social worker who came to tell me about it because it had been discussed in the school, but all the people who had received them had already been met and made aware of it and the problem was already resolved, he explains. -She. I never heard of it again after that.”
The police, accompanied by school staff, made it clear to all the young people involved the extent of the situation and the serious consequences, including criminal charges, of sharing such images.
As for her ex, as he was living overseas, the police were unable to trace him and so he suffered no consequences.
