A video obtained by TVA Nouvelles of a theft that occurred in a residential area of Quebec City reminds us that no one is safe from being a victim of this crime.

The Consumer Protection Office has recorded an increase in complaints related to package theft.

Unless you have expressly accepted that the package be left in a place where it can be stolen, otherwise you have all the rights, ”explains the spokesperson for the Consumer Protection Office, Charles Tanguay.
“It’s as if the package never reached you. Whether it was stolen or lost, it doesn’t matter. The merchant must either refund you or send you another package. You are in a position to cancel the order at any time until you have received the package.
