Most people view proteins as something not real or just being used for the appearance of athletes.
But who knows that these proteins are important and real, and their use is not limited to athletes only?
The name of these proteins is whey protein in Arabic, whey protein is the liquid part of milk that is produced after curd formation during cheese making.
Hence, it is found in milk products in general.
The importance of this protein is that it is easy to digest and quickly absorbed compared to other types of proteins.
1_ It is often used by athletes and bodybuilders with the aim of improving athletic performance, increasing muscle mass and enhancing physical strength.
2_ It is also used by patients with acquired immune deficiency (AIDS) to raise the nutritional value and enhance their immunity.
Among the most important benefits of this protein:
1_ Maintain muscle health and strength.
2_ Reduce blood pressure and reduce inflammation.
3_ Adjust body weight, because it gives a feeling of fullness and satiety.
4_ control the level of blood sugar and therefore is useful for patients with type 2 diabetes.
5_ An antioxidant and helps reduce cholesterol in the blood. It can be taken in several ways by adding it to food or drink and in these cases it is safe.
But when consuming large quantities of it, it may lead to some side effects such as stomach pain, loss of appetite, headache, allergy, and the appearance of skin pills.
