Kollam – A young man tried to run into the platform while Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan was speaking as part of the Navakerala audience in Punalur. He broke through heavy police security and crossed the barricade to reach the Chief Minister’s platform.
“This program (New Kerala audience) is not against any fronts. This program is not in favor of any fronts. For the country. This program is for the people. Harilal, a resident of Punalur Narikal, came to the side of the stage shouting loudly, ‘No… No…” when the Chief Minister was speaking for our future…”.
Immediately the police arrived and caught him and took him to the back of the venue where the event was held. Here, witnesses said Harilal was beaten up by DYFI volunteers. He was later taken to the police station and released. The police informed that he has been accused in some cases earlier.
