London: The activists of the international environmental organization Greenpeace covered the private residence of British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak with a black cloth to protest the government’s policy for oil extraction!
Rishi’s policy on environmental issues has been criticized in recent times. He made it clear that he is giving equal consideration to the change in weather and reducing the burden of fuel prices.
After that, the environmental activists staged a massive protest by blocking public events. The government has also introduced new laws against protest methods like walking slowly through busy streets and blocking buildings. Footage of four Greenpeace (UK) activists climbing on top of Rishi Sunak’s residence in Yorkshire and covering the building with a black cloth went viral on social media yesterday.

Greenpeace has made it clear that the protest is against the New North Sea Oil and Gas licenses and the move to develop the Erasbank oil field in Equinor. The organization also pointed out that they want their Prime Minister to be a leader of the time and not a time robber.
Pradhanmranti Rishi Sunak is currently in California for the holidays. Security has been beefed up at the residence following the riot. Similar protests took place in front of the Prime Minister’s official residence and office in Downing Street.
