In Sri Lanka, there are signs of a slight relaxation after the unrest and the storming of the presidential palace. After the country continues to wait for the official letter of resignation from current President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, the initiators of the anti-government protests announce their withdrawal. They want to leave all occupied official buildings – including the presidential palace – “peacefully”. A spokeswoman for the movement told the AFP news agency.
