The brief of December 15, 2023
More than a year ago, Proton promised the arrival of an application for computers. A complete email client that would link with other services. It took time, but the software is there. At least in part, because it is a beta, available only to people who have subscribed to the Visionnary package (40 euros per month).
The aim is ultimately to offer all the functions of the web version, but several elements are not yet present. There is therefore no offline mode or switching between several accounts, no badge on the icon to warn of unread emails, mailto links and ICS files do not open the application, etc.
There’s no Linux release either, but that’s all planned for the coming months.
