He said that a total of 23,915 beneficiaries have been provided with the service within two days in the governorate, in addition to providing pregnancy follow-up services, ultrasound examination, and detection of women, internal medicine and children.
The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in the Eastern Province stated that medical services are provided in the campaign, through medical teams in fixed and mobile medical clinics, with 262 fixed family planning clinics in hospitals, health units and medical centers in the governorate, in which the specialist service is provided, and 15 mobile clinics to cover slums and deprived areas, to ensure Access to services for all targeted women in hamlets and villages throughout the governorate, with the participation of medical teams trained in the campaign’s work, consisting of 136 doctors, 341 nurses, 497 leaders and educators of the population, in addition to awareness-raising media seminars on the importance of family planning and the available means, and the risks of marriage and early and repeated childbearing, in addition to the intensification of The necessary indicative publicity for citizens, in the locations and dates of the campaign in all parts of the governorate.
He noted that the campaign aims to provide free family planning and reproductive health services to all women targeted in the first phase, in 9 health departments in the governorate, namely: Zagazig, Ibrahimiya, Belbeis, Faqous, Husseiniya, Awlad Saqr, Abu Hammad, Mansha’at Abu Omar, Abu Kabir, and will last for a period of time. 5 days from 6 to 10 March.
