If for some early September rhymes with back to school, for others, it is above all an opportunity to get their hands on the new titles of the PS Plus offer. As usual, Sony offers three games.
Saints Row (PS4 & PS5)
It is with the reboot of an oh so cult franchise that Sony intends to delight us in September. Compatible on both PS4 and PS5, the Saints Row released in 2022 keeps everything that made the success of the franchise, namely a vast open-world, nervous gunfights and completely crazy weapons. Unfortunately, what was expected to be a fresh start for the franchise ultimately turns out to be a complete dud. The title is from another time, whether it’s graphics or gameplay, modeled on old episodes. Nevertheless, Saints Row remains a good stress relief, if you have a few hours to spare, provided you are not too difficult.
Black Desert – Traveler Edition (PS4)
Are you interested in an MMORPG taking place in a fantasy universe mixing PvE fights and PvP siege fights? In Black Desert, it’s a bit like Dofus that comes to life in third person with more realistic graphics. Character classes are available to you, and you even have the option of choosing a profession, such as fisherman, merchant, squire or even gatherer. A rich program therefore for this game released in 2015 on PC then in 2019 on consoles.
Generation Zero (PS4)
Total change of atmosphere with Generation Zero, an FPS released in 2019 and developed by Avalanche, the dads of Just Cause. Very clearly, it is the universe of the title that charmed us, plunging us into the Sweden of the 1980s, where an episode close to that of the War of the Worlds is raging. Very pretty and benefiting from a soundtrack to the hair, Generation Zero gives above all the impression of being finished in a hurry. Empty scenario, too short lifespan and bland gameplay, the game had all the weapons in hand to stand out and be an excellent FPS. Too bad, the developers will have missed the mark.
You have until September 4 to download PGA Tour 2K23, Dreams and Death’s Door, the August titles. As for those for the month of September, they will be available from September 5 until October 2.
