PS4: Horizon Forbidden West and Sackboy: A Big Adventure will also be released on this console

If the Xbox Series X is often criticized for its marked lack of distance with the current generation, the PS5 also has things to be ashamed of on this side. We have just learned that Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales will also release on PS4, and it will not be the only one in this case.

Jim Ryan took advantage of a recap post on the PlayStation Blog, following tonight’s conference, to confirm that Horizon Forbidden West and Sackboy: A Big Adventure will also see the light of day on PlayStation 4 in addition to their PS5 versions.

Additionally, we know the PS4 community will be switching to the PS5 at different times, and we’re happy to announce the PS4 versions of some of our exclusives. Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Sackboy: A Big Adventure and Horizon Forbidden West will also launch on PS4. While all three of these games have been designed to take advantage of the PS5 and its unique next-gen features like ultra-high-speed SSD and DualSense controller, PS4 owners will also be able to enjoy these experiences when they launch. PS4 digital versions of the launch games include a free upgrade to both PS5 consoles, while the PS4 disc versions of these games include a free upgrade to the PS5 with Ultra HD Blu-ray disc player.

Sackboy: A Big Adventure is elsewhere Scheduled for PlayStation 5 launch on November 12/19, more Horizon Forbidden West will not see the light of day until at least 2021.
