The founder of Double Fine Productions has confirmed that the studio is not currently working on Psychonauts 3.
Unfortunately, fans of the Psychonauts games must be disappointed, there will be no third game. Instead, the team is focused on “new, unannounced stuff” dubbed “smaller games,” like studio founders Tim Schafer said. Double Fine Productions so not working Psychonauts 3.
Though many players have been hoping for another sequel following the success of Psychonauts 2, Schafer clarifies that Psychonauts 3 not currently a work in progress is. He hasn’t seen the teaser that hinted at it and stressed in an interview that he’s not working on the project.
