PT Jasa Marga (Persero) through its subsidiary in the field of toll road preservation and construction, PT Jasamarga Tollroad Maintenance (JMTM), is improving a number of services in facing the backflow of the Idul Fitri holiday 1445 H/2024 which is predicted to start increasing in the 13-13 period. PT JMTM President Director Suchandra P. Hutabarat explained that starting from D-10 of Idul Fitri 1445H, PT JMTM had stopped construction work that had the potential to disrupt toll road lanes to optimize lane capacity.

“On homecoming and return flows, PT JMTM is committed to continuing to improve preservation services so as to create safe and comfortable travel on toll roads,” Suchandra, Friday (12/4).

In maintaining its commitment to preservation services, the company will ensure that the drainage system functions regularly to clean sediment (normalization) and waste.

The company also increased the capacity of the drainage system by constructing embankments, dredging and increasing the area of ​​storage ponds, increasing the capacity of static pumps in locations prone to flooding.

“We also carry out patching activities to ensure road conditions are in good condition,” said Suchandra.

PT JMTM has also prepared a number of preservation service personnel consisting of the Toll Road Preservation Service Team for Fulfillment of SPM in the Maintenance Sector which consists of Service Substances for Toll Road Conditions, Environment, Safety and Road Complementary Facilities (Sarkapja), and a Standby Team during the Lebaran Backflow Period. 2024.

They also prepared a Drainage Team to carry out intensive rubbish cleaning in drainage channels to ensure the readiness and functioning of the drainage system, daily care and maintenance of static pumps and 15 existing mobile pumps, stand by excavators and provision of scrap bags/sand bags as a preventive measure.

“As well as quick action in dealing with special incidents of flooding on toll roads more effectively and efficiently,” said Suchandra.

To create a smooth, safe and comfortable backflow journey, Jasa Marga will also continue to collaborate with relevant stakeholders such as Korlantas, Ministry of Transportation, Ministry of PUPR, Ministry of BUMN and other Toll Road Business Entities.

PT JMTM also urges toll road users to always be alert and alert when driving their vehicles for the smooth return flow of Eid in 2024.
