Public Health Report on coronavirus No. 674

The Ministry of Public Health reports that on Tuesday, January 18, 2022, four deaths were recorded due to COVID-19.

The deceased are: an 86-year-old woman, from Jáchal, who was hospitalized at the San Roque Hospital; an 80-year-old man from Rawson, admitted to the Dr. Marcial Quiroga Hospital; a 79-year-old man from Jáchal, admitted to the San Roque Hospital; and an 80-year-old man from Jáchal, admitted to the San Roque Hospital.

It is also announced that until 8:00 p.m. on the day of the date, the following official numbers of coronavirus cases were registered in San Juan.

  • New cases: 2,989
  • Total confirmed: 106,359
  • Patients with infectious process: 28,241
  • Deceased people (cumulative): 1,210
  • Recovered: 76,908
  • Negative test: 1,894

61 patients are hospitalized in the COVID-19 areas of the Dr. Guillermo Rawson hospitals; Dr. Marcial Quiroga; Dr. Ventura Lloveras, from Sarmiento; Dr. César Aguilar, from Caucete; Dr. José Giordano, from Albardón; Dr. Federico Cantoni, from Pocito; CEMEC; Dr. Julieta Lanteri; San Roque Hospital, in Jáchal; Dr. Alejandro Albarracín Hospital, in Valle Fértil; Hospital of Barreal, of Calingasta; May 25 Hospital; Private hospital; Medical Institute; El Castaño Clinic; Santa Clara Clinic; San Juan Sanatorium and CCI.

Of this total, 10 patients remain hospitalized in the Critical Area; one of whom is receiving mechanical ventilation.

Among those hospitalized in the COVID-19 area, there are 2 pregnant women, 1 postpartum woman and 2 pediatric patients confirmed with COVID-19.
