Leaders of public organizations, namely, representatives of the Council of Fathers and Council of Mothers, the Council of Veterans, and the Committee of Families of Warriors of the Fatherland signed in support of Vladimir Putin at the regional election headquarters. The head of the Irkutsk regional public organization of veterans, Anatoly Lavygin, noted that his generation has witnessed many changes taking place in the country.
Anatoly Lavygin:
— I was born after the war, I am already 78 years old. And we are not just witnesses, we are also participants in all these events, including in our Irkutsk region. This is the region of all-Union shock construction projects. And we all saw how the Union collapsed, how our country was on its knees by the beginning of the 2000s. With the arrival of Vladimir Putin, we felt that our country began to rise from its knees. And therefore we want this dynamics of our country – in the name of our children, in the name of our grandchildren – to continue.
The head of the regional association “Committee of Families of Warriors of the Fatherland,” Svetlana Osipova, said that she hopes that her children will live in a country with good traditions. “I am first and foremost a woman, a mother of many children. And I understand exactly what Vladimir Putin is talking about. What values we stand for, what he is trying to preserve. And I want nothing to prevent our country from living exactly in the future we want!” said Svetlana Osipova.
Chairman of the public organization “Council of Fathers of the Irkutsk Region” Maxim Petrov has been involved in this area of public work for about 15 years. “The state understands that the demographic situation in the country requires decisive measures. Supporting young and student families is the direction that will give impetus to improving the situation, and the state is doing everything for this,” said Maxim Petrov.
According to the chairman of the Irkutsk regional branch of the all-Russian public-state organization “Union of Women of Russia” Galina Terenteva, the organization dates back to 1941, with the call of the first chairman, the famous pilot and Hero of the Soviet Union Valentina Grizodubova, to all women of the country and the world to unite against fascism.

“Of course, with these traditions for more than 80 years, we still stand for the preservation of a just world. We are mothers first and foremost and think about the future of our children and grandchildren. Now, if we want Russia to exist, to develop, so that our children can have this future, we, of course, see this future only with our president.
In the Irkutsk region, on December 25, the collection of signatures began in support of the nomination of Vladimir Putin. The region plans to collect 10 thousand signatures. In the Irkutsk region, 16 places have been organized where anyone can cast their vote in support of the head of state. Experts check subscription lists daily to ensure compliance with all legal requirements. The Russian presidential elections are scheduled for March 15, 16 and 17, 2024.
