“Pure irresponsible pyrotechnics” the PAN’s attempt to contest the impeachment of INE councilors: Morena

The announcement of the National Action Party (PAN) that it will challenge two of the profiles unsuccessful to occupy the position of advisers of the National Electoral Institute (INE), is not only an incongruous act, but also inappropriate and irresponsible, asserted the federal deputy Hamlet Garcia Almaguer (Morena).

The legislator argued that the basis for filing challenges to this appointment process, announced by the opposition, wants to question the suitability of the profiles, an issue that he described as “just an irresponsible statement, of a matter that the Court itself has already had analyzed and issued a determination.”

“In the content of their statement, they indicate that they are going to object to President Guadalupe Taddei Zavala and also to counselor Jorge Montaño Ventura; We clearly express our rejection of this position, but we also do it with documentary support, ”he said.

Garcia Almaguer He replied that in the ruling of the electoral trial 1,157 of 2023, the Superior Chamber analyzed the suitability of the applicants that made up the quintets, and for that reason the quality of the applicants cannot be objected on a second opportunity.

In addition, it emphasized that the determination unequivocally expresses that “the act has been consummated irreparably, hence the demands must be dismissed outright.”

The federal deputy for Morena reiterated that the determination of the Superior Chamber is very clear, since it reads, “this Superior Chamber considers that the act challenged by the plaintiffs has become irreparable, since it would not be possible to analyze the alleged lack of suitability of the people they mention in their demands.”

In this regard, Deputy Irma Juan Carlos (Morena) pointed out that the opposition alliance is inconsistent because they agreed with the process and voted in favor of it.

He stressed that they endorsed the process at all times, endorsed the integration of the Technical Evaluation Committee, they did the same with the process in its four stages, including the last stage, which was the vote in plenary.
