The first cracks are appearing in the sworn Moscow leadership circle: On Wednesday, the first long-time companion of Russian President Vladimir Putin announced his resignation. Anatoly Chubais, who was always counted towards the liberal camp, was previously Putin’s special envoy for relations with international organizations. According to a report in the daily newspaper “RBK”, the 66-year-old is said to be leaving Russia with his wife and wanting to travel to Turkey.
