Recently awarded the “Best Show in the World” award in Hollywood for the Mime and the Starthe park Puy du Fou, 2nd amusement park in France, launches its new season this weekend. The main novelty concerns the show “Le Dernier Panache” dedicated to the Vendée chef Charette, brought up to date thanks to a new projection technology ultra-modern mapping.
“We used a laser light system which is the first use in the world with what is called a remote projector head. And this new light allows an image quality which has been completely redone, allowing much more immersion powerful, much stronger in the show“, indicates the president of Puy du Fou Nicolas de Villiers.
“Even though our shows are very popular with our visitors, we like to make them progress so that the surprise is always there” adds Nicolas de Villiers. The Musketeers of Richelieu, the Vikings, the Renaissance of the Castle, have thus been revisited.

“I feel lucky to perform several times a day in front of 2,000 people!”
The show the Mime and the Star, a tribute to the birth of talking cinema, begins a second season, crowned with its award in mid-March for best live show in Hollywood. Seen last year by 2.6 million spectators, it represents an investment of more than 20 million euros for the large park. “It makes us proud, we were already going there with a smile, but now, to know that we are in a very beautiful show, it’s super enrichingtestifies Perrine, one of the interpreters of Garance the heroine, I feel lucky to say that every day, I play several times a day in front of 2,000 people, it’s crazy!“
“We are looking to do at least as well as last yearspecifies Fabien Saye the coordinator, because that’s what allowed us to win a prize. We have a timed schedule, with a line. Each actor is trained in three, four, even five roles, which allows us to rotate them. We are not going to say that there is one who is better than the others, but we are going to say that all are different and all in their image are Mimosas and Garances..

Puy du Fou is also preparing to welcome the passage of the Olympic flame on June 4. And the Cinéscénie which resumes on Saturday, June 1, will host a new “painting” dedicated to the liberation of the south of France by the troops led by the Vendée Jean De Lattre De Tassigny.
