Doha: Qatar Airways to strengthen the aviation sector. Currently, the company has placed an order for more than 245 more aircraft. The figures were released in the annual report.
Qatar Airways is a leader in the aviation sector in the field of travel and cargo movement. About 230 aircraft of the company are currently flying. More than 245 planes are added to that group. The aircraft is being purchased at a cost of around 5.40 lakh crores from companies including Airbus and Boeing. The order includes 210 passenger aircraft and 30 cargo aircraft. In July last year, Qatar Airways had reached a final agreement with the company for the purchase of 25 Boeing 737-10 aircraft.
In the last financial year alone, seven new aircraft were added to the Qatar Airways fleet. It will include four Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners and three Qatar Executive Gulfstream G650ERs. With the arrival of more flights, the company is planning to increase the number of destinations.
