Qatar Central Bank sold local treasury bills for the month of July, at a value of 600 million riyals.
The new monthly issue was distributed over three tranches and three short-terms, with an average return of 1.69%, compared to an average return of 1.42% for the previous June issue.
The total issuance of Qatar Central Bank of short-term local treasury bills during the current year amounted to 4.2 billion riyals.
The issuance comes within a series of monthly issuances carried out by the Qatar Central Bank as one of the monetary policy tools to control liquidity rates and contain inflation in the Gulf state.
