Doha: Rains have arrived in some parts of Qatar as a relief from the intense heat and humidity. Rain with wind fell in the north and south parts of the country this evening. Most of the rain fell in Mykainese and Al Qarana.

The Qatar Meteorological Department reported that up to 16 mm of rain was received. Al Shahania, Rawlat Rashid and Murra also received rain.
Both natives and foreigners welcomed the rain that came in the midst of the heat by sharing pictures and videos of the rain on social media.
Meanwhile, the capital city of Doha has not received any rain and experienced more humidity than usual. The Qatar Meteorological Department said there is a chance of rain on Saturday as well.
