“Qatar Traffic Violations Drop: Statistics and Insights”

Doha: Traffic violations are on the decline in Qatar. It was 49% less than the February figure. There is also a shortage of vehicle registrations in the country. According to the figures of the Planning and Statistics Authority, traffic violations have almost halved compared to February 2022.

104992 violations were registered in February this year. Last time it was above two lakh. Compared to January this year, there is a decrease of 22.7 percent. More cases were registered for speeding. But it is only 65 percent less than last year.

This time more cases than last year were registered only in signal violation. The increase is 15 percent. At the same time, there was a decrease in the registration of new vehicles in February. 5862 vehicles were registered. This is 8.2 percent less than in January.
