Qatar World Cup; FIFA rejects rumors that play time will be reduced to 100 minutes FIFA rules out changes to playing time ahead of 2022 World Cup

Zurich: FIFA has ruled out extending the World Cup match time by an hour and a half. It was reported that 90 minutes would be reduced to 100 minutes, giving spectators more time to watch the game. However, FIFA said in a statement that there would be no such move and that the games would be 90 minutes old.

The second edition of the World Cup in Asia kicks off on November 21 in Qatar. The inaugural match will be attended by 60,000 spectators at the Al Bayt Stadium in Al Khor City.

The eight venues are located within a 50-kilometer radius of Doha. Therefore, players and officials can relax in the same place. The final is on December 18 at Lucille Stadium. Lucille has a seating capacity of 80,000.
