Al-Marsad newspaper: A video clip circulating documented a Qatari fan asking the Saudi team to continue in the tournament and warning them of losing.
The fan said: “My word is true to the Saudi team. I swear to God, if you lose, the attacker will get drunk and no one will come out, and by God Almighty, you will not come out, woe to you.”
He added: “In the World Cup and the Asian Cup, the Saudi audience has proven its presence, and if this audience is gone, the tournament has no taste.”
The fan documented the large attendance of all ages to support the team, commenting: “The tournament is worthless without it.”
