According to an insider, Qatari mediators are trying to arrange the release of 50 hostages kidnapped to the Gaza Strip between Israel and the radical Islamic Palestinian group Hamas.

This would be the highest number of hostages released since the abduction in the Hamas attack on southern Israel on October 7th. In return there should be a three-day ceasefire, a person familiar with the negotiations told Archyde.com today.

If the agreement, which is coordinated with the USA, comes regarding, some Palestinian women and children would also be released from Israeli prisons. In addition, the amount of humanitarian aid that Israel allows to pass into the Gaza Strip would be increased.

Hamas has already agreed to the general outlines of such an agreement, the insider said. Israel, on the other hand, has not yet done this and is still negotiating details.
