Four Peruvian universities are among the 100 best study houses in Latin America, according to the latest Ranking QS World University 2021, a platform that evaluates criteria such as the impact and productivity of research, teaching commitment, employability, online impact and internationalization.
The universities are the following: Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (PUCP) in position 16, which is the best positioned in this list. Follow him the Peruvian University Cayetano Heredia (UPCH), in position 56; the National University of San Marcos (UNMSM), at location 77, and Pacific university (95).
The evaluation method for this new top 2021 still preserves the key indicators of the global ranking; however, it adds a set of performance metrics designed for the region such as staff with a doctorate, the international research network, citations per article, and the impact on the university’s website.
This ranking was inaugurated in 2004 and is one of the most popular in the world to know data on university performance each year. In this new ranking, the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile maintains its first place as the best house of studies, according to the standards of the competition. It is followed by the University of Sao Paulo in Brazil.
