Qualification Round Wrap-Up: Czech Republic and Slovenia Secure Spots in Euro 2024 Finals

The Czech national team officially qualified for the finals of the European Nations Cup (Euro 2024) in Germany after defeating its guest, the Moldova national team, 3-0, today, Monday, in the final round of the eighth group qualifiers matches.

In the other match in the same group, Albania tied 0-0 with its guest, the Faroe Islands.

The Albanian national team was guaranteed to qualify for Euro 2024 before this round, as it was the leader with 15 points, and the Czech national team joined them in the continental championship, finishing second in direct confrontations with Albania.

Poland comes in third place with 11 points, then Moldova is in fourth place with ten points, and the Faroe Islands is in last place with two points.

At Androv Stadium, the Czech national team ended the first half ahead with a goal scored by David Dodera in the 14th minute.

In the second half, the Moldova national team suffered a severe shock, as Vladislav Babolu was sent off in the 55th minute.

The Czech Republic took advantage of its guest’s lack of numbers and scored two goals by Tomas Soucek in the 72nd minute and Tomas Soucek in the last minute.

The Slovenia national team also qualified for the finals of the European Nations Cup (Euro 2024) in Germany after defeating its guest, the Kazakh national team, 2-1, in the final round of the eighth group qualifiers matches.

The Danish national team secured qualification for the continental championship before this round, by topping the group standings with 22 points, ahead of the second-placed Slovenia team in direct confrontations. In the third match, Finland won against its host San Marino with two goals scored by Perry Sueri in the 50th and 58th minutes, versus a goal for the home team scored by Filippo Berardi from a penalty kick in stoppage time.
