With the conviction to consolidate a culture of peace in Queretaro society, the State governor, Maurice Kuri Gonzalezled the start of the program “Society of Respect, We are Querétaro”, through which values ​​and relationships between citizens will be strengthened.

“The first comprehensive program in the entire country to be able to reinforce values, strengthen the family, repair broken communities, generate bonds of solidarity, empathy and restore the sense of belonging, calling for reconciliation and unity in society. Society of Respect starts with a massive intervention in six large neighborhoods of the capital, which have presented high rates of social problems.

He explained that the state government, municipality and organized civil society will participate in this strategy, all under the same vision: to rebuild the social fabric through respect and tolerance; he reported that the program starts in its first stage in the colonies: Menchaca II, Eduardo Loarca, La Sierrita, San Miguelito, Hercules and Santa María Magdalenato later spread to other municipalities.

“These territories will receive packages of public policies in terms of rehabilitation of spaces, urban improvement, community health networks, culture of peace and education, with anti-addiction programs, anti-bullying, to prevent domestic violence and, as well as leadership development, of course also art, culture and sport.

He also stressed that permanent campaigns and activities will be maintained with the Memory and Tolerance Museum to form values ​​of inclusion, indulgence and zero discrimination; he added that the solution to all adversity is found in the family, in the education of the new generations and in people’s empathy.

He explained that the joint work with the Memory and Tolerance Museum will help train 30 thousand girls and boys, so that they learn, so that they are moved, so that they understand the importance of defending the best of all of our Querétaro.
