R124 Million PowerBall & PowerBall Plus: Results for Tuesday, 10 March 2026?

by

South Africans are eagerly anticipating the PowerBall and PowerBall Plus draws on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, with a combined jackpot of R124 million. The substantial prize pool is the result of twelve consecutive rollovers, following a recent draw on Friday, March 6, where the number 111 did not appear, according to lottery operator ITHUBA.

The total jackpot is comprised of R84 million for PowerBall and R40 million for PowerBall Plus. Friday’s PowerBall numbers were 10, 11, 15, 18, and 50, with the PowerBall being 11. The PowerBall Plus numbers were 15, 21, 25, 44, and 49, with a PowerBall of 01.

This upcoming draw represents a significant opportunity for players, as it is nearly six times larger than the average PowerBall jackpot payout of R22 million. The last major PowerBall payout occurred in January 2026, awarding R179 million, the second-highest payout in South African history, trailing only the record R232-million prize awarded in February 2019.

Players can participate by selecting five numbers from 1 to 50 and one PowerBall number from 1 to 20, costing R7.50 per entry. The odds of winning the jackpot are approximately 1 in 42,310,200. Alternatively, the Lotto and Lotto Plus 1 and 2 draws this weekend offer a combined prize of R59.5 million, with slightly better odds of 1 in 40,310,358 for the jackpot, and an average payout of R5.95 million.

ITHUBA has noted that the two most recent major jackpot winners utilized the Quick Pick feature through a banking application. Tickets are available for purchase until 20:30 on Tuesday, March 10, with the official draw scheduled for 21:00. Players can purchase tickets via the National Lottery website, the Mobile App, or at participating retailers.

Claiming winnings requires a valid winning ticket, proof of identity, a South African bank account not older than three months, and claimants must be 18 years or older. Prizes up to R2,000 can be claimed at retail stores, although winnings between R10,000 and R49,999 must be claimed at an Approved Prize Payment Centre. Amounts between R49,999 and R249,999 can be claimed via EFT through participating banks (excluding African Bank, which has a limit of R49,999). Prizes exceeding R250,000 require an in-person claim at an ITHUBA office. A winning ticket must be claimed within 365 days of the draw date.
