Rabat: The first measures of the municipality against “ghost” civil servants

The work of the October session of the Rabat city council, which ended last Wednesday, was an opportunity for the mayor of the capital, Asmaa Rhlalou, to reveal the first measures taken regarding the file of ”ghost” civil servants. ‘. A subject which has sparked a controversy within the council itself between certain elected officials of the RNI party which leads the majority. A control work carried out by the abuses of the municipality, since last May, made it possible to take the first administrative measures in respect of this file, starting with the striking off of 4 officials who are abroad. Added to this is a resignation and the presentation of several requests for proportional retirement, including 15 files already validated, according to the mayor of Rabat.

We also report the passage of 5 civil servants to the disciplinary council and the temporary suspension of the salaries of 8 other employees. Requests for explanations were sent to 498 civil servants regarding their absence, adds Asmaa Rhlalou.
