Racing after the victory in Río Cuarto and the friendly with Emelec

Racing de Nueva Italia beat Estudiantes de Río Cuarto 1-0 on Tuesday night in the Imperio for the Córdoba Clásicos Cup and continues its preparation to play the First National tournament.

Carlos Bossio’s team plans to play against Emelec this Friday at 9:00 p.m. at Miguel Sancho, in what will be the last game before the start of the official competition that will have him visiting Brown de Adrogué on the first weekend of February.

Forward Rodrigo Acosta said that “the preseason was very hard, we have been working since December 5 and now we are letting go with the friendlies. Against Estudiantes we did well and we took the game to the place where we wanted to play it”.

The winger who accompanied Leandro Fernández in the attack also said: “The promotion was enjoyed, but since we started the preseason we have already thought about this new category and the objectives we set for ourselves. This is a group that gets into what it wants and what it seeks to achieve, a group that focuses quickly.”

“It was our first semi-official game in the preseason (against Estudiantes). We have to work every day and not go crazy knowing that we must be prepared to play in the second category of national soccer and it is no small thing,” Acosta continued in statements to Radio Impacto.

Regarding the proposed objective, the attacker made it clear that “the leaders set the objectives and we go with them. But I think we shouldn’t get crazy or lose our minds. We come from a couple of tournaments in which he went up from end to end and hopefully it can be repeated. But we have prepared ourselves to dispute what comes our way. We don’t have to lose our heads, that is important and we are happy with the work that is being done”.
