At the request of Fernando Gago, the creative midfielder joined the training sessions this Wednesday morning after his loan at Volos in the Greek First Division. That was already great news for the protagonist, but after noon they gave him even better news for a confirmation: Nicolás Oroz will stay at Racing by Gago’s decision. In a way, then, he is the trainer’s first reinforcement.
When he did not expect it, the midfielder received calls from the coaching staff of Fernando Gago and Rubén Capria (football advisor) to express that Pintita wanted to have him in their ranks. This is how Oroz trained this Wednesday morning at the Tita Mattiussi venue, with great hope of getting a new chance at the Academy, the club that owns his pass and where he has a contract until June 2023. After practice there was a meeting in which they communicated to the player the intention that he continue in the squad. In fact, they assigned him a plan of tasks to carry out in order for him to catch up with the rest of his classmates. In this way, he will no longer listen to other proposals from other institutions.
The Academy midfielder (28 years old) comes from playing a year on loan at Volos, team with which he terminated the link a couple of weeks ago. I wanted to integrate a more competitive team. From the representation of Nico they began to expect suitors to appear, until this came from the Academy.

After the call, Oroz arrived in Buenos Aires on Tuesday night from his native San Luis, very enthusiastic. But at the same time he was cautious. It’s just that this thing of going back to Racing training and then being released has already happened to him on other occasions.
Nico emerged from the Tita Mattiussi estate, but was never able to establish himself in the First Division. He was promoted to the main squad in 2014, but was never able to establish himself in the team and only played eight games. For this reason, he began his loan assignment raid that included Chacarita, O’Higgins and Universidad de Chile, Al Wasl from the United Arab Emirates and the recent Greek Volos, where he had moved with a purchase option of 1,000,000 euros for 75% of the token (750,000 clean dollars).
In Racing, since his arrival, Pintita has become an expert in recovering and enhancing players and will bet on doing the same with Nicolás Oroz, midfielder of the Academy.
