The Austrian filmmaker Adrian Goiginger will be at the screening of his fourth film at the Radstadt Cinema in the Tower on January 14th.

After “The Best of All Worlds”, “Märzengrund” and “The Fox”, the Austrian filmmaker Adrian Goiginger now takes you into the pubs and cafés of Vienna with “Rickerl”. On January 14th, the Radstadt cinema in the tower invites you to a screening of “Rickerl” at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. as well as a subsequent conversation with the local director himself, who will be present on site. The melancholic and emotional story shown is told with a lot of black humor – inspired by the songs of the Austrian cult singer Voodoo Jürgens – from the life of Erich

“Rickerl” Bohacek.

Dreamers in the balancing act

Bohacek is an idealist. He barely makes ends meet as a street and bar musician, but that’s not enough to make big leaps. He hopes to have a big breakthrough at some point with his soulful songs. But unfortunately he often gets in his own way. His great support is his eight-year-old son, who is with him every other weekend. With depth and Viennese humour, we accompany Bohacek on his journey in which he tries to find the balance between his dream of being a great musician and life as a father – but he finds it difficult to build a relationship with his son. Only when Rickerl runs the risk of losing Dominik does he realize that he has to fundamentally change his life.
