Rafah Border Reopens for Humanitarian Aid: Israel’s Decision Amidst Gaza Crisis

Gaza City: Israel reportedly agreed to open the Rafah border following pressure. Al Arabiya reported that the Rafah border crossing to Gaza reopened on Monday morning. It is reported that Israel has decided to halt the attack for several hours to allow aid vehicles to travel. However, Israel has denied reports of a ceasefire in southern Gaza.

A statement from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office said no temporary ceasefire or aid delivery to Gaza had been agreed to in exchange for the expulsion of foreigners.

It is the border gate between Gaza and Egypt. Rafah plays a critical role in bringing humanitarian aid to Gaza from outside. During the Israeli attack, more than 100 trucks are ready to deliver the necessary aid to millions of Gazans, including children and pregnant women, who are without water or food.
