Raffi Ahmad’s name was linked to the money laundering case, Rafael Alun, an artist with the initials R, was found to be involved. It started with a working relationship between Jeremy Imanuel Santoso and Raffi Ahmad. It is known that Jeremy is the son-in-law of Rafael Alun. Raffi Ahmad clarified this news.
Nagita Slavina’s husband confirmed that Jeremy Imanuel Santoso and himself had a work relationship. However, the working relationship between him and Jeremy did not lead to Raffi Ahmad getting to know Rafael Alun Trisambodo so that he received funds from the man.
“His son-in-law, Jeremy, does work with me, but I don’t know Uncle Rafael. I don’t know him,” said Raffi Ahmad in the Mampang area, South Jakarta.
Raffi Ahmad and Jeremy Imanuel Santoso are united by work at RANS PIK Basketball which is owned by Raffi. There, Raffi Ahmad served as executive chairman at a basketball club called RANS PIK with Rudy Salim.
The father of two suspects that the reason people connected him with the case of Rafael Alun who was involved in the Money Laundering Crime (TPPU) was because of a photo taken at the inauguration of RANS PIK Basketball. He confirmed the existence of the photo but still denied the involvement of Rafael Alun in his business.
“I have a few photos with the RANS Basketball team, at that time we made it official, we wanted to make a big sports court at PIK. Maybe people thought, ‘Wow, Raffi is with his family, Rafael. Maybe the money comes from that’. It’s delicious! That’s it! the money comes from RANS itself,” said Raffi Ahmad.
Raffi Ahmad emphasized that he was not at all panicked at being linked to Rafael Alun.
“Yeah, don’t panic. Actually, I’m just trying to examine why it’s being gossiped about me. Indeed, I have friends, my friend Jeremy. There’s also a lot of news in the news. Jeremy works at RANS and works for my basketball team, being the president of the basketball team’s club me,” explained Raffi Ahmad.
However, Raffi Ahmad never knew Rafael Alun at all. Associated with the artist’s initials R si OKB in the TPPU Rafael Alun case, Raffi Ahmad immediately received many calls from his investors.
“But I don’t know Rafael, Mr. Rafael, or Uncle Rafael. Because of that news, all my friends, clients, partners, investors asked, ‘Brother, you’re not involved in this issue, right?’ That’s it, ask me all,” said Raffi Ahmad.
On the other hand, Raffi Ahmad admits that he is ready if the authorities decide to check it. Given that now his name is often associated with the case.
“Yes, I’m ready,” said Raffi Ahmad.
