Barcelona is facing difficulty in completing a new offensive deal during the current summer transfer period, in light of its desire to bring Brazilian Rafinha from Leeds United to the Camp Nou.
According to the newspaper “Mundo Deportivo”, Barca is counting on his good relationship with Portuguese Deco, his former player and Rafinha’s agent, in order to settle the deal in his favour.
But at the same time, she indicated that Barca communicated with Leeds officials, yesterday, Wednesday, and made an oral offer, which was not welcomed by the English side.
The offer came completely far from the required amount from Leeds, as it was much less than what Chelsea offered (65 million euros) for the Brazilian international.
Despite that, Barcelona is betting on the player’s desire to wear his shirt, as Leeds respects this, but at the same time he wants to get a financial compensation suitable for his abilities.
Deco plays a huge role in dissuading Rafinha from playing in the Blues shirt next season, as he suspended his transfer in the recent period, hoping that Barcelona would reach an agreement with Leeds in the coming days.
But the problem facing both parties is Barcelona’s inability to compete financially with Chelsea in this race, given its deteriorating economic situation.
