The storms in Slovenia have so far resulted in three deaths. Since Thursday, more precipitation has been measured in some places in Slovenia than ever before. Many rivers burst their banks, entire villages were flooded, and people had to be rescued. The Sava has meanwhile become extremely torrential and swollen, in front of Ljubljana the Sava has crossed in some places. That’s why the sirens sounded in Ljubljana. Almost all hydroelectric power plants on the lower Sava were temporarily shut down. Not only all civil rescue forces, but also the army with 250 soldiers and police officers are deployed.
