Rape trialThe former EHL executive is acquitted for the benefit of the doubt
The man acknowledged a consented report but not the accusations of a student. He was cleared for lack of evidence.
It was word against word. On the one hand, a scholarship student from the Ecole hôtelière de Lausanne (EHL) accused repeated violent rapes a facility manager. On the other, this collaborator linked to the awarding of scholarships admitted consensual sex in 2015, but no abuse. The Court of Vevey, which delivered its verdict this Thursday at the end of the day, judged that the two versions were as credible as the other. In the absence of evidence, the Court found an acquittal on the benefit of the doubt.
