A single card can be worth several thousand euros. The thieves stole cards, figurines and decorations. In total, the damage is estimated at the dizzying sum of 200,000 euros. Experts, the burglars targeted the rarest and therefore expensive products. “They knew very well where to go, we see them heading directly towards the cabinets where the exclusive products were,” explains Yves, who has access to video surveillance images from that night. But the manager believes that it will be difficult for the burglars to resell everything. Some cards are so rare that they will be spotted, he hopes.
”As far as I am concerned, it will be a real manhunt. I have to get them back, because, unfortunately, insurance won’t cover everything. These are unique cards for which there are no purchase invoices,” he says, determined. The collector promises a reward of 10,000 euros for any clue leading to his criminals being found.
An organized theft
According to surveillance cameras, there were four men. Three rushed inside to collect the loot, while the last stayed outside to watch. Yves explains that his burglars had Wi-Fi jammers and communicated with each other via telephone headsets. A structured and thoughtful flight. And which, unfortunately, pays off big.
