It’s been a year since Russian President Vladimir Putin invaded all of Ukraine. It is a war of aggression contrary to international law. The West came to Ukraine’s aid: with arms deliveries – and in the form of economic sanctions. Russia is to be economically isolated – but the measures have loopholes. Most Western companies can and do continue to do “business as usual” in Russia. Even if some companies withdrew voluntarily, many Austrian companies stayed.
